From the 2021 Basketball Innovations Spring Competition Handbook “It is each team’s responsibility to provide an official match scorer for the game. Umpires will not act as game scorers. Umpires will not start a game until at least one scorer is present. Teams not supplying a scorer will forfeit their right to have a complaint in relation to the scoring for that game considered by the umpires and BINN Administration. The score-sheet is the official game record. The electronic scoreboard does not display the official score. Its purpose is to provide spectators a guide as to how the game is progressing. Should a dispute arise in relation to the scoring, the official game scorers should attempt to resolve the issue. If the scorers are unable to reach agreement, the umpires together with the scorers (and no-one else) should resolve the problem. Any decision made by the umpires is final
