Basketball Innovations and CV – Tomorrow’s games are being played as usual.
We are monitoring the situation and until advised by the government that we need to cancel games, tomorrow’s round of fixtures will go ahead.
The following was emailed to us from Craigie Leisure Centre about our concerns.
City of Joondalup Leisure Centres Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
Dear Basketball Innovations People,
As a member or customer and with much information circulating in the media regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19), we would like to provide an update on how the situation is being managed at the Cragie Leisure Centre.
Please understand that the safety of our customers and employees is always our first priority. While media and public commentary surrounding Coronavirus continues to raise concerns for the community, public health authorities have not placed any restrictions in regard to public places or gatherings of people, including leisure centres, at this stage.
What are we doing?
Craigie Leisure Centre has and will continue to put into place a number of proactive measures to protect customers and employees.
Cleaning equipment stations will be installed in key areas.
Antibacterial wipes are available throughout the centres.
Hand sanitizers will be installed throughout the centres (please note: supplies of hand sanitizer are limited Australia wide).
Cleaning and sanitization practices throughout the centre have been increased. Installation of ‘stop the spread’ signage at customer service points.
What can you do?
The Department of Health recommends the most effective way to mitigate the risk of contracting Coronavirus is to practice good personal hygiene.
– Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
– Always bring a towel to your game.
– Wipe down equipment before and after use.
– Cover your coughs and sneezes. If you are unwell, avoid contact with others. Preferably don’t come down to the centre.
We will continue to monitor the latest advice from the Department of Health, who are coordinating the statewide response. For more information, please visit the Department of Health website.
Please also monitor the City Of Joondalup Leisure Centres website for updated information and frequently asked questions.
