Unregistered players participating in a game in the Basketball Innovations Competition are considered to be fill ins.
By participating in a Basketball Innovations game a fill in has agreed to comply with the Players Code of Conduct and Competition By-Laws.
Fill ins may be used so a team can avoid a forfeit or occasionally for a team or player to try out who has never previously played in the competition.
Fill ins can come from other teams within and from outside the competition.
There are restrictions on the size of the teams that use fill in in a game.
There are restrictions on the number of games any APPROVED fill in can play during a season.
Some people are not permitted to be used as fill ins for safety, insurance, financial and work-safe reasons. A list of de-registered and illegal players is posted on the notice-board at the entrance at entrance to the courts and in the black score-sheet files.
All fill in players MUST be approved by the Competition Administrator or Court Manager PRIOR to representing a team in a game.
