HOW PLAYERS CAN HELP GET THEIR GAME STARTED ON TIME

In order to enable games to commence on time, Basketball Innovations has put in place procedures concerning scoresheets, referees and game times to ensure the competition can run smoothly.

Players and teams can also do their bit to assist us by:

1. Arriving at Craigie Leisure Centre and be ready to play at least 10 minutes prior to the advertised starting time.

2. Making sure your team game fee is paid beforehand and confirmed with the game fees clerk.

3. Obtaining approval from the Court Manager for any fill ins your team is hoping to use in the game.

4. Filling the game scoresheets in 5-10 minutes prior to the advertised starting time. There are two clipboard files on the score bench one aqua and the other green. The green file is for the game that is currently in progress. The aqua clipboard is for the next game. All registered players’ names are printed on the game scoresheet. Write the player uniform number next to the name on the scoresheet.

Unregistered fill in players are required to have their first and last name printed clearly on the scoresheet BEFORE they can enter the game.

5. Take care not to distract the scorers of the game that is in progress while filling In the scoresheet

6. Arrange for a suitable person to score for your team. This person should be seated at the score-bench ready to score when the clock starts.

7. Go to the middle of the court and be ready for the tip off before the clock starts
