HOW YOU CAN HELP US GET YOUR FINALS GAME STARTED ON TIME

At present Craigie Leisure Centre is undergoing extensions. This has meant Court 4 being unavailable until next year and teams having to play later games than usual. Basketball Innovations has put in place procedures concerning scoresheets, referees and game times to ensure the competition can run smoothly.

Here are five ways you as players can help us to achieve this goal:

1. Arrive at Craigie Leisure Centre and be ready to play at least 10 minutes prior to the advertised starting time.

2. Make sure your team game fee is paid beforehand and confirmed with the game fees clerk.

3. Fill the game scoresheets in 10 minutes prior to the advertised starting time. There are two clipboard files on the score bench one aqua and the other green. The green file is for the game that is currently in progress. The aqua clipboard is for the next game. All registered players’ names are printed on the game scoresheet. All they need to do is write their uniform number on the scoresheet in the aqua file. Please take care not to distract the scorers of the game that is in progress while you do this.

4. Arrange for a suitable (ie competent) person to score for your team. This person should be seated at the score-bench ready to score when the clock starts. It is also recommended this person not be a coach or a player in the game.

5. Go to the middle of the court and be ready for the tip off before the clock starts.
